Forza Horizon 2 | Xbox 360
About
read before you install. or don't.
Forza Horizon 2 on Xbox 360 is the sequel to 2012's Forza Horizon and the seventh installment in the Forza racing series, developed for Xbox One and Xbox 360 by Playground Games and Sumo Digital respectively, with Turn 10 Studios supporting both builds. Released on September 30, 2014 (US), it's the final Forza game released for Xbox 360. The Xbox 360 version runs on the Forza Horizon 1 engine built by Sumo Digital, making it significantly different from the Xbox One version. It features 229 cars (with 3 exclusive cars not in Xbox One), but includes less than half the playable content of the Xbox One version. Key missing features include: no dynamic weather (rain), no Drivatar AI, no tuning, no free-roam open-world (many barriers prevent crossing, and areas like Docks are inaccessible), no invisible walls, no Forza Rewards credits or cars, no DLCs or updates, no Car Clubs, no Horizon Wheelspins, some radio stations missing, and no ability to reset car position. The game runs with scaled-down graphics, missing water/dirt effects, and has noticeably more bugs and glitches. Online servers were shut down in December 2023, and the game was delisted from Microsoft Store in October 2018, so only physical discs are available now.
