Red Faction: Guerrilla Re-Mars-tered on PS4 is a remastered version of the 2009 third-person shooter originally developed by Volition Inc. and published by THQ Nordic. Released on July 3, 2018, the game is set 50 years after the original Red Faction, allowing players to take the role of insurgent fighter Alec Mason with the re-established Red Faction movement as they battle for liberation from the oppressive Earth Defense Force on Mars. The Remars-tered edition features fully reworked textures and graphics, improved lighting and shadow rendering, a shader and postprocessing rework, and up to 60 FPS gameplay. The game defines destruction-based gameplay with a huge open world, fast-paced guerrilla-style combat, true physics-based destruction, and includes both online multiplayer modes and hotseat local multiplayer for up to 16 players.
